The new Kim Studded Satchel is anything but boring; I’d say it’s even a little risqué (if a handbag can be risqué). The Kim is available in light grey and fuchsia pink shades, and its front details — large square studs, atop origami-like folds — bring a little rock and roll to an otherwise modest shape.
The top of the bag has a zippered closure, which opens to reveal a dark fabric lining. A long zippered pocket and two open top pockets make storing smaller items (your phone or iPod) easy peasy. A long zippered pouch divides the bag into two equal sections, making the my-handbag-is-a-black-hole phenomenon avoidable. The bag’s handles are adjustable and can be made long enough to swing the purse over the shoulder or short enough to carry comfortable on the crook of the arm.
I would suggest carrying this bag with a pair of dark skinny jeans and fashion boots. I’ll leave the shirt choice up to you, since a variety of different looks will work just fine with this versatile shape and color.
Now, as much as I love pink, I actually prefer the light grey version of this bag. I will say if you’re going to go with the pink version, stick to more neutral tones when it comes to your ensemble. We don’t want this look to appear too busy or Barbie-like, if you know what I mean.
All in all, the Kim Studded Satchel makes for a perfect sleek and stylish look, that is extremely versatile, and can be worn on a variety of occasions.
What are your thoughts on this bag? Would you carry the Kim Studded Satchel?
