MET Gala Clutch Competition

The 2011 Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala, more simply known as the MET Gala, was put on by Vogue in New York on May 2.  No doubt about it, everyone who attended was dressed to impress. Spikes, feathers, lace, glitter and emerald jewels filled the ballroom. Besides the extravagant dress designs, the clutches were eye catching and paired nicely with each dress.

Lea Michelle at MET Galared clutch handbag

‘Glee’ star, Lea Michele, arrived to the gala wearing a red silk gown with a dazzling ruby red clutch to complete the look. Our Michelle Floral Clutch can create the same Lea Michele inspired look for you. For a night on the town, or simply the need to dress up a casual outfit, this clutch can get the job done for you. Red on red looks fab, but the red clutch will also look great with a black outfit.

Liv Tyler at the MET GalaYellow Clutch Handbag

Liv Tyler arrived at the gala wearing a cream-colored, feathered dress paired with a mustard yellow clutch. The clutch worked great with the feathered attire and lent an exciting splash of color to an overall successful outfit. The Reagan Shoulder Clutch comes in purple, yellow, red and brown. The clutch can also be converted into a shoulder bag by attaching the gold strap that comes with the bag. Yellow and gold accents make for a great combo.

Maggie Gyllenhal at MET Galablue rhinestone clutch handbag

We have the perfect clutch for Maggie Gyllenhaal. The Princess Clutch, in royal blue, is one of my personal favorites. The fancy box clutch is made of smooth satin and topped with beautiful rhinestone crystals.

Miranda Kerr at the MET Galalace clutch handbag

Newly mom, Miranda Kerr, shows of her post-baby bod in a short, fun, white-ruffled dress. Paired with her gown is a clutch that looks quite similar to our Cecily Lace Clutch. This clutch gives off an elegant edge with its row upon row of flirty ruffles.

Who do you think dressed the best?
