Polished silver studs decorate the otherwise simple matte leatherette, and an exterior pocket provides a place for your phone or other frequently used items. The top zip closure opens to reveal zebra print silky lining, two open top pockets and one zippered pocket.

not sure if it's a messenger bag

I liked this bag, but I am not sure if it's considered a messenger bag because the longer strap isn't long enough to wear over your body and you can't make it longer, so you get the length they give. Other than that I liked the bag.
