Staff Review: Serena Perforated Folded Bag

sporty messenger bag

You have no idea this is capable of.

There are certain objects that inexplicably capture one’s attention.  Sometimes, it’s a person or an adorable animal.  Sometimes, it’s a well-constructed vehicle or a breathtaking chair or pendant lamp.

And sometimes, it’s a handbag.

If you are looking for a cool, versatile bag, the Serena Perforated Folded Bag will blow your mind.  Once you get past the initial confusion over the extra section along the opening, you won’t be able to stop talking about how rad this bag is.

I was immediately drawn to the Serena by the color and fabric.  The taupe is a perfect neutral, with a hint of a darker tone, which adds sophistication to a very sporty bag.

Look! I found more bag in the bag.

And the green is surprisingly doable.  I tend to stay away from kelly greens, as I like to avoid the Leprechaun-likeness that results from a redhead in green, but I can’t deny this hue’s stellarness.  Stellarity?  Stellardom?

Both color options are accented with perfectly-coordinated dark brown piping and detailing, yet neither give too earthy a vibe.  The brown is an unexpected, and welcome, touch, as black accents would have felt like the sport was forced with that slightly greater contrast.

The Serena is the epitome of a sporty handbag, with its reminiscent-of-a-ball, perforated fabric, clean details, and simple–yet not boring–color combinations.  With the extra section folded over, it becomes an easy messenger, or with it pushed in, a shoulder bag (or elbow bag, depending on which straps you utilize) is formed, not to mention the biggest, slouchiest clutch you can imagine.

I need a cross-body bag for summer (concerts, festivals, etc.). I am thinking this just might be the perfect one!

YES. Do it. There are so many ways to hold it, it’s ridiculous.
