Carrington Flower Satchel

Are you envious of that girl who comes to work every day donning a new handbag? The one who seems to be able to coordinate her bag to her outfit on the daily? Me too. I just don’t have time for such nonsense amazingness. Switching out bags would take me forever – though that could be a result of the amount of things in my bag….

Currently:

• Two wallets – why? I don’t know.
• Keys
• Three pens, eight pencils and one highlighter – I’m serious.
• Receipts, galore!
• A scarf
• Two ID holders
• Chapstick
• Clean & Clear oil absorbing sheets
• Ear plugs
• Sunglasses
• Headphones
• Airborne and Zicam – girl don’t get sick
• Coupons
• Checkbook
• Three old to-do lists
• Candy wrappers
• Gauze

I’m stopping there; I know you don’t have all day. I have all of that and not even all the essentials. It would be much easier to switch purses if I carried only the essentials. So here I go, a new and improved list – what should be in every girl’s purse.

• Wallet
• Keys
• Chapstick
• Checkbook
• Two pens at the most
• Sunglasses in a case
• Any prescription pills that you take daily and pain relievers
• Tissues
• The electronics: phone, camera and Ipod
• Gum or mints
• Hand sanitizer
• Tampons or pads
• A small first aid kit
• A light snack

That should be enough to get you through the day. Don’t be like me and lug around all the extras you don’t need. Who knows what damage I could be doing to my back and shoulders! When you carry only the essentials, changing out purses will be a lot easier. Do you have any purse essentials that I forgot?
